The Academy launches a public initiative “Truth and Security” to counter disinformation

The International Information Academy is launching a public initiative “Truth and Security” to strengthen Ukrainian society’s capacity to counter disinformation.

The project envisages initiating an expert discussion on the partnership of civil society and security and defense sector agencies of Ukraine, making use of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence in order to detect and respond to disinformation campaigns, awareness-raising campaigns on disinformation and manipulative operations technics of the Russian Federation, etc.

Discussions on legal and technological issues of countering disinformation, as well as formulating appropriate proposals are intended to propose a procedure for the protection of the national interests of Ukraine in the information realm in compliance with the democratic principles of freedom of speech.
