The expert of the International Academy of Information Oleksiy Tkachenko was selected as a participant of the European Union program “Community of Cyber Diplomacy 2024” (EU: CD Fellowship).
Civil servants from EU member countries, EU partner countries from different continents, whose area of responsibility includes international cooperation on ensuring cyber security and countering cyber threats, participate in this EU program. In 2023, 12 people participated in the program, in 2024, 14 participants were selected.
The duration of the program is one year. During the year, the participants of the program participate, with EU funding, in various international events, forums, meetings of governmental and intergovernmental structures, both in the European Union and beyond, the topics of which are cyber diplomacy, cyber security, information security and related issues. adopting the best international experience in this field. In particular, for the first half of 2024, the Program participants are scheduled to visit Brussels (April 2024) to the European External Relations Service and New York (July 2024) to participate in a meeting of the UN Committee.
Also, program participants are involved in writing analytical studies on the issues of cyber security, cyber attacks, etc., internships in specialized analytical think-tanks, etc.
It is predicted that the participation of the representative of Ukraine in the indicated program of the European Union will improve practical cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the field of ensuring cyber security and will allow to more actively involve relevant specialized structures of the EU in countering cyber aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine in cyberspace.
